Do you two read Narendranath Mitra? I am directing my comments to both of you because I can't think one of you minus the other. I love reading Narendranath and this 'padyo' reminded me a short story of his...a little boy was going to see the village fair...all excited, he went to see his best friend as he wanted the best friend to accompany him...unfortunately the best friend had fever and could not go to the fair...the boy promised to get him a 'mohonbanshi' from the fair...he bought it with all he had...and was all the while thinking of his friend, how excited he would be to have such a special gift...he slept off in the returning boat thinking of his best friend...but the 'mohonbanshi' never reached his best friend as the boy's father gave it to a professional but poor flute-player on their way back, when the little one was sleeping and dreaming of his friend's smile...in the end, the kid was in a dilemma...should he or should not he tell his friend of what has happened? The story of the flute instead of the flute? Would the friend believe him? Your blog somehow reminded me of this story...and I could not find any better comment to offer...
